 Your stream was going as well as your streams went. After months of streaming for only a handful of viewers, your current regular viewership of around 50 people per session seemed like huge progress and a great milestone. Considering the other viewers with thousands and thousands of viewers every stream, 50 wouldn’t sound like much to most people, but to you it felt like an accomplishment, and you were quite proud to have obtained such a loyal following. At first you tried all the mainstream games, what the other big-time streamers played, hitch a ride on their popularity, but soon you realised that nobody was going to go and watch you play those games when there were so many other more prolific people they could watch. Instead, you diverted into a more niche genre, and slowly but surely built up a small but loyal viewer base that was interested in the games you played. Tricksters are interesting beings. Blessed with reality altering powers, they can alter objects, people, thoughts, anything you can imagine really. But Tricksters aren’t humans per say. They take our appearance, use our language to communicate, they wear or clothes, eat and breathe like normal people, but they most definitely aren’t people. They don’t have our base desires, our impulses and our needs. Wielding unlimited power, they don’t thirst for global domination, riches and fame, as all those things would be easily within their grasp, too easily. Instead, they take their life’s pleasure in messing with people, changing them, their jobs, their relationship, their bodies and even their thoughts, leaving them stuck in a new undesired life. People changed this way usually remember who they were before, but their new personalities are overpowering, and so they are stuck acting like the people they become, whether they like it or not. Sometimes, the changes have some reason and meaning b
