Turned into Racist Stereotypes

Image
New York, the big Apple, the biggest city in the country. Being from rural North Carolina, the boys hadn’t had many opportunities to visit cities like this one. So, when their parents agreed to let them go on a trip for Spring Break on their high school graduation year, they immediately agreed to go spend the week in New York. Nightlife, constant buzz and nonstop party, these things were inexistent in their small quiet town, which only had one small pub, if it could even be called that. One thing the town also lacked was racial diversity, which New York has aplenty. This lack of exposure to minorities and other cultures not only left these boys with a closed mindset, but with a bias that leaned towards stereotyping. Indeed, while they were quite ignorant of minorities, they believed themselves to be quite knowledgeable with them, and already in their first night out at a bar, they were discussing amongst themselves what they expected to find in their week in the big city. “Man, I can

Mirror of Opposite Reality

As far as he could remember, Ashton had always dreamed of knowing what it was like to be a woman. But not in a trans kind of way, he was comfortable with his male body and identity. More in a curious kind of way, wanting to know how it felt, just as much in the day to day as in bed. Until one day, when he stumbled upon the opposites mirror. A magical artefact, it was actually a portal to another reality, where things on the other side were reversed. This meant that while he was a

It was a beautiful sunny day for a yard sale. Trevor and Laura Jameson were very happy with this turn of good luck as they setup tables filled with various items, eager to start the day and get rid of unused items, as well as make a bit of money. But all the while that they were setting up, a nefarious eye was watching over them. Beatrice, their neighbor from across the street, was watching them from her second-floor window, a scornful look upon her face. They had never gotten along, the married couple being outgoing and social people, while the lone woman was more of a recluse, fond of quiet and privacy. So, when the Jamesons had announced their plans for a yard sale that weekend, she had immediately visited them to protest vehemently, complaining that this was going to cause a high volume of traffic on their usually quiet street. But the couple insisted that this was happening, the HOA’s president had even signed off on it already. Clearly angry, Beatrice had retreated, vowing that t
