Pregnancy Wish

 You have to be careful when you wish upon a star. You never know who or what might be listening, and more importantly, how they are going to interpret said wish. In this particular situation, you had just been in another fight with your pregnant wife over something so meaningless that you already forgot what it was. But with the due date coming up faster and faster, and the hormones flooding her body, fights like these were more and more common. So you had stepped outside to take a breath and calm down, and hopefully your wife would do the same inside. The peaceful crisp night air helped you regain control, and you began to ponder your situation, as you noticed a shooting star passing by. That’s when, without a second thought, you said out loud.

“I just wish I could help her more with the pregnancy.”

Turns out, it wasn’t a shooting star that you saw that night. It was actually a small fairy passing by. Hearing your wish, she couldn’t help but feel the goodness of your intention, and decided to grant your wish, in the way she thought would help the most. And that’s how, when you woke up the next morning next to your wife, you were surprised to find that she was no longer pregnant, and the you were instead! That did mean that you also had the body of a woman to go along with the pregnancy. Initially your wife was surprised by the switch, but that surprise quickly changed to relief as she was freed from her burden. You on the other hand had not only to deal with your sudden advanced pregnancy, but also with the many intricacies that the female body offered. Your wife was supportive and helped as much as she could, but you couldn’t help but feel like everyone was staring at you and your bloated whale body every time you went out.



You hoped that once the conditions of the wish had been met you would return to your good old male body. But you will soon find out that even after the child is born, and even long after the baby was done breastfeeding, you will now be forever stuck in the body of a pudgy woman.
