Life of the Party

Another lonely Friday evening. There you were, sitting all by yourself, in your small bachelor pad, feeling dissatisfied with everything in your life. Nothing was engaging, you had your laptop out for some video games, but after 30 minutes of trying to find a game to play you gave up on that. You then browsed the TV for something interesting to watch. Once again, in vain. Everything on there you had either already seen, or looked absolutely unwatchable. You sighed in despair as you closed the TV, not sure what else to do with your boring evening. Not tired enough for bed already, so that wasn’t an option. Read a book? Once again, you have already read everything in your collection, and besides, you didn’t want to commit to what would be hours and hours of reading.

Sounds from outside caught your attention. You walked up to the window and immediately as you opened the shades you were blinded by lights. Across the street from you, the huge fancy hotel was having one of its famously fancy parties. The whole side of the hotel was illuminated brightly, chauffeurs were driving up to the door, unloading men in expensive suits, and women in fabulous gowns. Everything was so chic, so classy, so perfect, it made your heart wrench even more. More than once you had spied out your window to observe these splendid soirées, and more than once you wished you had the charisma, the money and the audacity to actually be one of those partygoers. This is what normal people did. This was the real life. You sighed in discontent, everything in your life seemed even duller at the moment, when faced with such brightness.

“God, I wish I could be one of them! Be down there and live life to its fullest! My life would be so wonderful, people would notice me, pay attention to me. I could even be the center of attention, all eyes on me as I enter, confident and postured! If only dreams could come true.”

You meant it with all your heart. You uttered the wish with such hope, such soul, that unknowingly to you, it was heard by a Celestial being. Far up in the night sky, a light flashed, briefly but intensely, in fact so intense that it caught your attention despite the bright lights and booming music coming up from the hotel in front. As you looked up you saw the star’s light descend upon you, engulfing you in its pure whiteness.

“What is this? What’s happening to me?” You stutter, stumbling back from the window, starlight following you, slowly being absorbed by your body. Within a few moments it is completely gone, leaving you alone once again in your dark room. But then a low glow starts to appear, emanating from your skin. You notice it first on your hands, fingers becoming slender and elongated, hands compressing until they become small and dainty. As panicked as you should feel, you instead feel a serene calmness wash over you, as if this was normal, as if this was supposed to happen. The glow starts moving up your arms, shaping them along the way, removing any bulging fat and muscle, leaving them smooth, hairless and thin. The same glow starts to pulse around your feet, giving them the same treatment, leave your big hairy feet into small delicate things. Your legs thin down under the warm glow, but as the glow reaches your thighs you feel them puffing up, gaining a quite womanly definition. Meanwhile up above it had reached your shoulders, narrowing them quite a bit, leaving you with a much smaller frame.

As the glow down below kept moving up it reached your groin area, washing over your penis and reshaping it, into a feminine mound. Once again you did not feel any worry at all, no panic or discomfort whatsoever as the light changed you from within, altering your form into a very feminine one. The only emotions you felt were peace, and perhaps a little curiosity. Your rear rounded out behind you, just as your hips pushed out on the side giving you a definitely womanly shape, which was accentuated even more as the glow moved up bringing your waist in, and giving you a smooth hourglass figure. The glow above had just finished with your now slender neck, and was moving up to cover your face, blinding you momentarily with its brightness. During that time, you felt it reshape your facial features, leaving you with a cute button nose, plump lips, full eyelashes, high arching eyebrows, and overall a dainty but distinguished visage. It then reached the top of your head, permeating your hair, as it lengthened, color shifting from a dull brown to a vivid and shiny blond, trickling down below your shoulders. The other glow had just reached your pectorals, which where slowly reshaping, pushing out to become a sizeable pair of breasts, each topped off with a perky nipple. With that change you were now complete, a woman from head to toes. But you sensed the glow was not done with you yet.

It seemed to thin out, covering your entire body, no longer affecting it directly but changing everything around it. The glow took your hair and spun around, forming an intricate hairdo on top of your head, topping it off with a bow. Over your face, you felt makeup apply, bright red lipstick contrasting with the light tone of your skin, mascara puffing out your lashes, and blush bringing just a little color to your cheeks. Around your neck a bow materialized, matching your new lipstick perfectly. Just a little lower your shirt reformed, baring your shoulders to the world, the collar lowering to show off your new cleavage, tightening to provide support to your breasts, hugging your waist, then your hips as it blossomed out into a long fancy dress, shaded to from purple to gold at the bottom. Opening on the side to show off your shapely feminine legs, while remaining very classy. On your arms, the glow formed a pair of very long gloves, running from the tip of your fingers to above your elbows. You felt yourself grow in height. No, it was actually your heels that rose up from the ground, now sporting a stunning pair of red heels, topped at the ankles with two more red bows. Finally, a white fur coat materialized from thin air, dropping on your shoulders, and a cigarette holder, sporting a lit cigarette, appeared in your hand, completing your look as a classy and sophisticated lady.

You looked at the cigarette in your hand feeling perplexed. You didn’t smoke, you didn’t drink, you didn’t feel more confident, even if you looked the part, you would still stand out as a sore thumb as soon as people would interact with you. That’s when the light focused all into a single brightly spot on your forehead. It then flashed brightly, as you felt your whole sense of self being rewritten in a single moment. The light then disappeared completely. You took a long drag from the cigarette, feeling the burn from the smoke travel down your throat and into your lungs, a sense a relief washing over you as your nicotine craving was momentarily satisfied. Wait, since when did you have a nicotine craving? Since now apparently. You smiled, taking another drag from the cigarette. This felt good, really good. But you needed a drink in your hands right now. Glancing around the small apartment, you knew you would find nothing of interest here. And so, you headed out the door, not bothering to look behind you.

You exited the building and headed out in front to the hotel, the place of your longing. You did not hesitate a single moment as you walked through the front door, sashaying your hips slightly, heels clicking on the ceramic floor, with the confidence of someone who belonged in such a place. No one questioned your presence here, but a few head did turn as you entered, eyeing the beautiful temptress who had just arrived, alone and unescorted. That situation was quickly rectified as a distinguished young man approached, starting up a casual conversation. Deep inside you were afraid of how you would react, how you would behave, but your body responded casually and confidently, striking up a conversation with the man as if you had known him your whole life. A waiter passed by and you beckoned to him, ordering a dry martini. You rarely drank any alcohol, yet you knew that this particular drink would satisfy this new thirst you were feeling. You kept the conversation going, and before long the waiter was back with your drink, which you drank very slowly with small sips, but each one just as satisfying to your palate as the previous one.

Soon you started to mingle with larger groups, striking up conversations with strangers, and departing with newly acquired friends. As you were strutting about, you heard whispers of this mysterious new woman that was so sophisticated, so distinguished, and you recognized yourself in those words. Yes, your name was on everyone’s lips. Josephine, the mysterious and intriguing woman in the purple dress. This brought a smile on your face. You truly were the center of attention, the spirit of the party, as rarely a moment passed where someone wasn’t passing by to introduce themselves, and talk to this outgoing and pleasant woman.

Before you knew it, hours had passed and the party started dying down, people retiring in their awaiting cars, going home deep into the night. You were amongst the last to leave, wanting this night to last forever. But it was not to be, and you retreated home, the light of dawn starting to rise above the horizon. As you entered your apartment, the light returned, this time taking away instead of giving. With you returning to your old male form... But as you were left there, changed back to your original self, you felt a lingering sense of confidence, of assuredness there. There was a small part of Josephine left in you, and as the light left you to return to the dying night sky, you knew, that next party come at the hotel across the street, Josephine would return, and once again be the life of the party.
